Richard is a Founding Partner of Cadell. He’s responsible for Client relationships, along with Willem de Gier and has developed a client base of over 20 Trust firms on Jersey, Guernsey, Geneva and the Isle of Man.
With many years on the Executive Management Board at Christie’s and in the Executive Team for Qatar Museums Authority, Richard has extensive experience of the art market which has shaped and informed the creation of Cadell, with its focus on providing trusts with a new level of professional standards and conflict-free advice. Having managed business development for the world’s largest auction house, Richard is uniquely qualified to bring insights, structure and competitive rigour to the acquisition and disposal process of artworks and chattels. Thereby reducing risk and maximising results for clients. He has worked on a multitude of different cases, from the sale of important contemporary works and British artists, through to jewellery, sculptures and carpets.
Before entering the art world, Richard had many years of management experience in the advertising, CRM, digital and database marketing sector.
Richard is a member of the IOD and fellow of the RSA.
